Exact Tax is and has always been based on people and relationships.The computers, the software, and the tax laws are peripheral - without our clients who trust us, and a loyal team that cares about providing the very best service possible, we would have no business. From the very beginning all business decisions have been based on what will best serve our clients and staff.

From an initial 500 clients in our first tax season, we have steadily increased to the point where we now prepare a minimum of 2,000 tax returns in each office every year. Most of our business comes from repeat customers - our records show that more than 85% of our clients come back every year, including some who have been here every year since we first opened.

We believe in giving back to the community where we earn our living. This means choosing to allocate most of our "advertising" dollars locally and donate our time to supporting worthy local causes. The Cranbrook office is especially proud to have provided an annual $400 scholarship to a deserving Mount Baker graduate every year since 1997.

None of this would be possible without a dedicated staff of seasonal employees most of whom have been employed by Exact Tax since it's inception in 1993 and who are willing to update their tax and computer knowledge every year to work long hours in a very short season.

Our secret to assembling and retaining a great team is fun. Laughter is central to our business, just as important as tax knowledge and confidentiality of client information. Happy, confident employees who enjoy their work will smile and laugh with their clients.
